Suction Guide (Flow Straighter)

Service Recommendation

The Suction Guide is designed for direct mounting on the suction side of the pump in both horizontal or vertical positions. It removes any foreign particles that might harm the pump or system components and also ensures optimum flow conditions to the pump.

Replaces the elbow, strainer, and entry pipe, reducing installation costs .

Method of Operation

Has an inbuilt strainer that removes suspended solids and directs them through flow strainers to the pump.

Material Construction

Body: M.S. Fabricated IS-2062

Lightweight and cost-effective compared to C.I. suction guides.

Filtration Area

Provides 4x filtration area compared to 'Y' strainers → resulting in low pressure drop.

Size Available

• From 50 NB to 300 NB.

• Reducing sizes are also available (as per drawing).

• Flanges as per standard or customized for easier retrofitting.

Saves the space

Compact design allows for 90° elbow positioning, removing the need for additional pipework.

Filter Details

Inner filter: Stainless Steel SS-304, 3 mm hole perforation.

Outer filter: Varying mesh sizes, filtering all particles before pump entry..

Optional: Mesh-type Filter/Foreign Particle Arrestor.
